An empirical study on bank branches performance measurement and prioritizing based on Balanced Scorecard model (BSC), Applying: Factor analysis method

Financial organizations , particularly banks  as main resources of finance transactions  moreover canals for payments play an  important  role in country’ s  economic development  and growth.  In addition to the outstanding economic importance of banks, drastically competitive business environment also highlight the significance of implementation such systems which enhancing efficiency of banks besides continually banks performance measurement in order to modifying activities and monitoring finance conditions of them. In the current study, initially principals, notions, the application as well as advantages, drawbacks and steps of Balanced Scorecard model have been studied then research literature has been reviewed. In order to study performance measurement, branches of Melli bank in Sanandaj have been selected, evaluation factors based on measures of Balanced Scorecard model have been determined as well, then main and critical factors for evaluation which have the main ratios on creation of factors changes and variations have been specified with applying Principal Component Analysis method. Furthermore so as to prioritizing and bank branches performance measurement Factor Analysis method has been applied and ranking results for branches have been presented on the basis of mentioned method. Last but not least branches ranking results based on Factor Analysis have been compared with current situations of branches.
