A Survey on Legal Aspects of the Draft Act on Commercial Advertisement (A Critical Analysis of Commercial Advertisement: National Production Protection & Consumer Protection Approach)

Abstract  
This study surveys the laws and regulations related to a commercial advertisement in Iran, the USA, and Turkey. The main objective of this study is doing a research in order to present some recommendations to modify the text of Iran's "Draft Act on Commercial Advertisement”. The Draft Act is also analyzed in this research. The approaches of selected international institutions and organizations to the commercial advertisement are surveyed as well. The findings of this study show that revising the texts of some Articles of the Draft Act on Commercial Advertisement, as proposed in the research, is necessary to promote consumer protection and national production protection in advertising in Iran.
