Developments in macroeconomic indices and the position of industrial sector in the national economy

In 2015, Iran faced wide-ranging political and economic developments affecting macroeconomic indices and the industrial sector. Due to structural constraints prevailing in the country's economy, the developments and the relevant policies adopted by the government in 2015, the country's economic growth was reduced, and Iran's economy was only able to grow 1.3%. Meanwhile, the growth of the industry and mining sector was zero percent. In order to evaluate the country's economic performance, as well as the performance of the industry and mining sector in 2015, this report analyzes the macroeconomic and industrial sector variables such as economic growth and its components, formation of gross fixed capital, etc., as well as the major causes of the developments as compared to 2014.
