Observation, monitoring and forecasting of price indices during the Second season of 1399 (with emphasis on manufacturing sector)
  1. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 26.1% over the last four season ended summer 1399 compared to the same period last year. The analysis of specific groups of commodity and consumer price index also reflected that the trend of the goods and services increased from 28.4 and 23.2 percent in summer 1399 compared to the same period last year. Food and beverages and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels increased by 21.5 and 23.5 percent, respectively. They have the highest share in CPI increase.
  2. Inflation forecast shows that consumer price index inflation in urban households will reach 27.0% over the last twelve months end Mehr 1399. Additionally, inflation rate in Aban to Azar will be 28.0 and 29.1 percent, respectively, indicating continued uptrend in CPI inflation in the coming months.
  3. Predicting the inflation rate of the total index subgroups are as follows:
  • Forecasts show that the categories of “transportation”, "communication”, and "furnishing and household equipment and their routine maintenance" are the most inflated over the coming months.
  • Among the major groups, the inflation rate for the "Food, Beverage and Tobacco" Group (with a base year weight of 25.03) will be in a upward trend and over the last twelve months ended Azar 1399 it will be 23.3 percent.
  • The price index of “housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels" (with a base year weight of 38.07) will increase over the last twelve months ended Azar 1399 it will be 25.1 percent.
  1. The twelve-month inflation rate of the "goods" group is projected to increase from 29.4 percent in Mehr to 32.0 percent in Azar and the inflation rate in the "service" group from 23.8 percent in Mehr to 24.8 percent in Azar.
  2. The Producer Price Index (PPI) had grown by 23.6% the last four season ended spring 1399 compared to the same period last year. Among the groups, the indices of mining and manufacturing, with 37.7 and 23.8 percent, respectively, had the highest share in increasing the price index Producer.
